He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Brown and Herman Jacob Lotts; his sister Betty Stoneburner; and his stepdaughter Robin S. Ribeiro. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Crowder Spiggle Lotts; his children, Crim C., Teresa Lotts of Newport News, Nancy L., Ronald Higgs of Winchester, David A. and Patricia Lotts of Mooresville, N. C.; his grandchildren, Andrew Higgs (Amanda), Gayle Higgs, Mark Lotts and Brian Lotts; his stepgrandchildren, Jordon Marie Ribeiro and Ryan Lee Ribeiro; his brother Fred; his sister-in-law Sara Lotts of Crimora; and his sister Polly L. Brumfield of Staunton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
