He was predeceased by: his parents, Kefton Lee and Mamie Sweat Smith. He is survived by: his children, Georgia Smith Painter, Clifford Edward Smith (Buddy), Jack Selvin Smith, Peggy Smith Harris, Hazel Smith Harris (Fern), Howard Smith, Carolyn Smith Oakes and Christie; his wife Nancy Barbour Smith; his daughters, Carol Smith Boothe (Christopher), Crystal Leigh Smith and Catherine Christine Walters (Billy Jarrell); his grandchildren, Kristen Boothe Alagna (Francesco), Danielle Boothe, Thomas Lee Pizzino, Frank-Leigh Hash (Savannah), Sierra Grace Hash, Jonothan Jarrell, Brea Jarrell and Joshua Jarrell; his great grandchildren, Jonah, Oliver, Maddie, Aubrey and Paisley Jarrell; and his sisters, Georgia Smith Painter (Toote), Peggy Smith Harris, Hazel Smith Harris (Fern) and Carolyn Smith Oakes. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
