It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clay Truman Hankins (Axton, Virginia), born in Henry, Virginia, who passed away on August 29, 2019, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Algie Hankins and Ed Hankins; his siblings, John Hankins, James Hankins and Christine Kendrick; and his granddaughter Ashley Farmer.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth S. Hankins; his children, Kim Perry of Bassett, VA, Eddie, Shaun Hankins of Axton, VA, Cindy Raynor of Ringold, VA, Jackie Vernon of Ringold, VA and Danny Cumbo, II of Macon, GA; his siblings, Herman Hankins, Judy Rowland and Joyce Davis; his pet Fred; and his cousin Donnie Hankins. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
