She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Carter and Ophelia Fuller Carter; her husband Elgin Martin; her siblings, Roberta Law, Izetta Jefferson Law, Gertrude Hairston, Leonard Carter, Clarence Carter, Sam Carter and Tom Carter; and her grandchildren, Cherrion Andrews and Rewa Andrews.
She is survived by: her daughters, Doris Andrews of Carteret, NJ, Linda Martin of Axton, VA and Clarissa Woody (Herman) of Martinsville, VA; and her grandchildren, Daryl Martin, Tammie Millner, Carlisa Galloway and Lamont Andrews.
