With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ella Jones of Axton, Virginia, born in Apex, North Carolina, who passed away on December 26, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Penn and Lillie Pearson; her husband Alfred Jones; her daughter Barbara Jones Hairston; and her siblings, Alma Jean Pearson, Edith Pearson, Walter Penn, William Penn and Jigs Penn.
She is survived by: her sons, Alfred Jones (Kathy) and Jerry Jones (Eleanor); and her brother Dolphus Pearson. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
