He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Tinsley and Emma Keen Tinsley; and his brothers, Charlie and Roger Tinsley. He is survived by: his wife Margarite Thomas Tinsley; his children, Shameka Latoria Tinsley of Axton, Virginia and Reginald Earl Tinsley of Axton, Virginia; his siblings, Marie Artis of Roanoke, Rosa Bell Dillard (Freddie) of Axton, Lorene McCullum (Lawrence) of Eden, James "Jimmy" Tinsley (Lillie) of Axton, Virginia, Hurtis Tinsley of Axton, Virginia and Troy Tinsley of Axton, Virginia; and his grandchild Jonaisha Lowe of Axton, Virginia. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; six sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 6 to 8 p. m. Faith Bible Baptist Church, Axton Road, Axton, VA with a limit of 10 people at a time. (Per CDC Guidelines: Facial Masks are required).
