He is survived by: his wife Teresa Seay Lawson; his sons, Joseph Allen Lawson, Stacy Thomas Lawson (Naomi) and Corey Lee Lawson; his nephew Kevin Lee Cox; his grandchildren, Amy Lawson, Sara Seay, Zachery Lee Vance, Austin Gammon and Myranda Arrington; and his brother Daryl Lawson. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other family members, and close friends.
