LeeTonya Z. Hagwood Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LeeTonya Z. Hagwood in Bassett, Virginia, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on December 5, 2025 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nadine Hagwood Butler and Lee Butler; her siblings, Vaughn Hagwood, Anthony A. Hagwood, Tina Hagwood and Adrian D. Hagwood; her grandparents, Jessie Mae Hagwood Hall and William Hagwood; and her nephew Amos Tyrone Hagwood.
She is survived by: her children, LaShonda M. Rumley, Malcolm J. Hagwood (Kimberly) and Jamie Hagwood-Bonilla (Abias); and her siblings, Lolitta Jones (Chuck), Brenda J. Hagwood, Charles Hagwood (Carla), Lee Butler (Leslie) and Doral Butler (Michelle). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; six nieces; three nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bassett Funeral Service (3665 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett, VA 24055).
