He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Bartley; his parents, Nicholas Rhea and Virgie Bartley; and his siblings, Ruth Bledsoe, Helen Kirk, Ethel White, Garland Bartley, Conrad Bartley and Gilmer Bartley.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Bartley and Susan Bartley Widener of Ben Hur, VA; and his grandmothers, Lee Beverley of Kingsport, TN, Joanne Wilson of Kingsport, TN, Margaret Martin of Indianapolis, IN and Doris Crawford of North Carolina. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Charles First Baptist Church, (Building Fund) 188 Big Branch Road, St. Charles, VA 24282.
