She was predeceased by: her husband William Elliott Dickey, Sr.; her son William "Billy" Elliott Dickey, Jr.; her grandchildren, Kimberly Rogers, Ashley Sullivan, Chris Leedy, Tim Leedy, Stefanie Vaden, Courtney Alvarez Castegnaro, Erin Lloyd, Beth Williams, Daniel Lee and Nicole Lee; her great grandchildren, Harper, Rylan, Ashlyn, Landry, Olivia, John Parker, William, Devin, Jordan, Ariana, Wesley, Wyatt and Wren; her parents, Clayton H. Abel and Susan Filipek Burk; and her siblings, Jerry, Patrick, Thomas, Clayton, Barbara Ann, Edward and George (Tuffy).
She is survived by: her children, Susan Leedy, Catherine Morehead (Tony Morehead), Sandra Lee (Jeffrey Lee) and Steven Dickey (Catherine Dickey); and her siblings, Mary and Robert. She is also survived by her family, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Boyce Volunteer Firehall, P.O. Box 285, Boyce, VA 22620, where Betty loved to play Bingo and still drove herself (!) each week until a few months ago.
