It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hilda May Rutherford (Berryville, Virginia), born in Inwood, West Virginia, who passed away on June 18, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry May and Bessie Florence Williams May; and her siblings, Charles, Glen, Marshall, Lemmuel, John, Kenneth May, Evelyn Foltz, Sylvia Catlett, Ruth Cochran, Bessie Palmer and Thelma Smallwood.
She is survived by: her husband John Childs Rutherford; her children, Naomi M. Long (Warren) of Berryville, VA, Carolyn L. Nicodemus (Roger) of Bunker Hill, WV and John William Rutherford (Mary) of Berryville, VA; her daughter-in-law Edna Rutherford of Berryville, VA; her grandchildren, Cathy L. Russell (Scott), Kevin C. Long (Judy Pruitt), John "Willie" Rutherford (Melissa) and Nicole McGowan (Matt); her great grandchild Jon "J. T."; her great great grandchildren, Jace, Jaedyn, Adelyn Lemieux, Gary Wilson (Joyce), Donnie Nesselrodte, Lori Dooley, Susan "Dixie" Legge, Latonya "Tootie" Brown, Becky Ruble and Ginger Reynolds; and her pet Frosty.
