He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel "S. C." Legard, Sr. and Edith Clara Potts Legard; his wife Margaret Alice Shackleford Legard; his sons, Michael Legard of Tennessee and Allan Legard (Nancy) of Tennessee; and his sister Ann Mayrand (Curt) of Ohio. He was also cherished by "Pops" and loved by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
