He is survived by : his friend Cynthia Lee Bass; his daughter Ciji Nicole Bass; his son-in-law Sam Harris; his son James Lee Bass; his daughter-in-law Sierra Bass; his grandchildren, Malakye, Chloe Harris, Keighlee, Annabella and Braighlee Bass; and his siblings, Karen Collins, Linda Bass, Tim Bass, Frank and Ralph Scott. He is also survived by several foster children, other close relatives and friends.

We spent my days and nights talking about cars, working on our cars and just hanging out with Joe.. Loved you like a brother and your children were the same as mine. They were at my house a lot when growing up. Cindy, Ciji & JR we love y’all. Lora and I are here for you in this time of grief. I’ll miss you my friend.”
