He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Edward Wilson; his parents, Lloyd Wilson and Gladys Wilson (Legg); and his siblings, Carolyn Akel, Delores Shaw and Kenneth Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Hall Wilson; his pet Sam; his sons, David Clayton Wilson of Roanoke, VA and Christopher Douglas Wilson (Kelli) of Duffield, VA; his grandchildren, Connor Wilson and Sophie Wilson; and his sister Joann Fleenor. He is also survived by several cousins, close relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Holding Funeral Home (17 E 3rd St N, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219).
