He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertrand Lee Sloss and Virginia Adeline Woodford Sloss; and his brothers, Bertrand Sloss Jr. and Al Sloss. He is survived by: his wife Dora Lynn Hatfield Sloss; his children, Brenda Mash (Robert), Delores Bower (Eddie) and Eddie Sloss (Ellen); his brother Phillip Sloss (Susan); his sisters-in-law, Charlotte Sloss and Gloria Sloss; and his granddaughters, Lara Meador (Eli), Rachel Mash, Jolee Sloss, Kaylee Sloss, Maggie Bower and Rylee Sloss.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Appalachian Conference Discipleship Ministries' Youth Camp Scholarship Fund, in honor of Jerry's lifelong commitment to youth ministries.
