We bid farewell to Melissa Belle Anderson Harris (Grove, Oklahoma), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 16, 2025 at the age of 91. Melissa Belle Anderson touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. William Douglas Anderson and Harriett Long Anderson; and her stepdaughter Terri Harris Stout. She is survived by: her husband Samuel Morgan Harris, Jr.; her siblings, Harriett Anderson Vineyard and Frederick Douglas Anderson (Samuel Morgan Harris, Jr.); her daughters, Deborah Harris Burchard (Ellie Sturgis) of Christiansburg, VA and Mary Harris Rigas of DeKalb, IL; her stepson Samuel Morgan Harris III of Tulsa, OK; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Tyler Rigas, Sophia Melissa Rigas and Nicole Wishard.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Christ Episcopal Church (120 Church St NE, Blacksburg, VA 24060). A burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (555 E 3rd St, Grove, OK 74344).
