He is survived by : his wife Gloria Anderson of Hopewell, VA; his daughter Lakeishia Hawkes Hardy; his son-in-law Garry Hardy of Farmville, VA; his grandson Alex Andre Hardy; his stepson Malcolm Marcellus Jones of Chesterfield, VA; his stepgrandchildren, Malcolm Marcellus Jones Jr., Sharonda Mone'Jones and Marcellus Malcolm Jones; his siblings, Reverend Kenneth Hawkes (Angelyn) of Dinwiddie, VA, Don Hawkes (Brenda) of Wilson, VA, Vincent Hawkes of Blackstone, VA, Carolyn Williams (Joshua) of New Kent, VA, Mary Tucker (Larry) of Amelia County, VA and Viola Person (Thurman) of Chester, VA; his sister-in-law Jacqueline Gray Hawkes of Blackstone, VA; and his aunts, Frances Hawkes and Clara Hawkes of Blackstone, VA.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews that came to him during his time of need, as well as cousins, and many close friends.
