Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Thelma Hurd Tankersley (Blackwater, Virginia), who passed away at the age of 86, on February 22, 2020. She was predeceased by : her parents, Andy Johnson and Leena Mae Johnson (Pridemore); her former life partner J. C. Hurd; her husband Floyd Tankersley; her siblings, Bill, Alvin, Carson, John Johnson, Retha and Hazel Johnson; her children, David, Gary Hurd and Kathy Manis; her children-in-law, Eva Hurd and Basil Manis; and her great grandchild Skyler Faith Hurd.

She is survived by : her children, Daniel Hurd (Phyllis), Jerald Hurd (Becky), Susie Osborne (Homer), Patsy Manis, Otis Tankersley (Ros) and Jackie Tankersley (Debbie); her siblings, Faye Sypes (Fred), Dorothy Hurd, Sally Shaver (Ed) and Elmer Johnson; and her children-in-law, Jeannie Hurd, Debbie Willford and Danny Manis. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
