Shumate (Nancy), Patricia S. Elliott, Dawn S. Walker (Ricky) and Kim S. Fox (Eric); his brother Glenn Shumate, Sr.; and his daughter Jane Mays. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and 4 step grandchildren.
