It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gustavus Herold of Bland, Virginia, who passed away on September 11, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustave DePoitiers and Helen Balzar. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Herold; his daughter Amanda; his son-in-law Robert Hartley; his brother Carl; his sister-in-law Fran Barber; his nephews, Bill Herold and Marc Barber; his niece Stephanie Serafini; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Wesley Herold, Grayson Serafini, Stephanie Levering, Kasiee Herold and Sophia Serafini. He is also survived by 6 great-great nieces and nephews.
