It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrie Whitman (Bluefield, Virginia), born in Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on May 4, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Jesse Epperson and Elsie Tabor Epperson; her husband James Lewis Whitman; and her brothers, Roy Epperson, Charles Epperson and Richard Epperson.

She is survived by : her daughters, Bridgette Hoosier (Doug) of Bluefield, VA and Vickie Furrow of Bluefield, VA; her grandchildren, Adam Hoosier (Brandi) of Bluefield, VA, Eric Hoosier (Robin) of Radford, VA and Kyle Furrow (Amber) of Bluefield, VA; her great grandchildren, Kendal Hoosier, Kaden Hoosier, Kinsley Hoosier, Carter Furrow, Colton Furrow, Olivia Hoosier and E. J. Hoosier; and her close friends, Anita Littlejohn and Dorothy Johnson.
