He was predeceased by : his parents, James Gilbert and Pauline Cooper Sanford; his stepfather Clay Sanford; and his brother-in-law Jim Duncan. He is survived by : his wife Ann Alley Gilbert; his son Justin Gilbert (Sabrina) of Bluefield, VA; his grandchildren, Avery, Reed, Nolan and Emri; his sisters, Nancy Duncan of Bluefield, VA and Hellen Mitchell of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his close friends, Joe Bailey, Kathleen, Billy Farmer, Jerry, Tina Hawks, Patty Ramage and Jeter.
In keeping with the state and local guidelines concerning COVID-19, there will be a private family service at Dudley Memorial with Pastor Tony Ellis and Bryon Mayberry officiating.
