He was predeceased by : his parents, David Davis and Elmira Williams Davis; his wife Teresa Joann Sluss Davis; and his siblings, Allene O'Quinn, Margaret Thompson, Elmer Davis, Louise Sparks, Clarence Davis, Geneva Whitt and Nina Whetzel.

He is survived by : his daughters, Tammy Isbell (Jeffrey) of Cedar Falls, IA and Patricia Taylor (Frank) of Simpsonville, SC; his grandchildren, Porsha Isbell, C. J. Isbell, Marsha Dowdle and Alisa Taylor; and his great grandchildren, McKensie Strickland, Lexi Dowdle and Gavin Dowdle.
