She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Franklin Poston and Maude Ellen Manuel Poston. She is survived by: her husband Sonny; her daughter Willa Kiser; and her son-in-law Cecil Kiser.

“Betty Colbert was one of the best neighbors ever. I know that for sure as for years I lived across the ‘turnpike from her and Sonny. As a matter of fact, she easily and happily adopted my cat Puff when that kitty flicked her tail at me and crossed the road to spend the rest of her life with Betty and Sonny.. That cat knew where the good life lay. Amen to that true story.”
