It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janie Burgess (Boones Mill, Virginia), who passed away on November 24, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her husband Grover Burgess; her parents, Clarence Sword and Beulah Sword; her siblings, Emmett Sword, Bill Sword, Bob Sword, Martha Belcher, Margaret Merritt, Allie Day and Betty Matney; and her great grandchild Brady Nininger.
She is survived by : her children, Grover Thomas Burgess, Jr. (Tommy), Christi, Wanda Spence (Doyal) and Dawn Lloyd (Andy); her grandchildren, Christina Farr, Deidra Nininger (Chip), Tammi Jewell (Michael), Stephanie Bush (Chris), Justin Morris (Gretchen) and Kyle Lloyd; her great grandchildren, Callum, Abby Farr, Noah, Carli Nininger, Taylor, Britton and Landry Morris; her siblings, Clarence Sword (Vanessa) and Lois Ball (Doug); her sister-in-law Helen Sword; her friends, Bessie LaPrade, Cornell, Louise Montgomery, Stareen Pugh and Vivian Young; and also, CJ LeMaster, Nicky Rodriguez and Andi Hammerstrom.
