He is survived by: his wife Mary Doss Gilmer; his children, Michael Gilmer (Debby) and Yolanda Brewer (Jack); his stepson Jerry Carroll; his grandchildren, Rachel Gilmer Brewer (Stephen), Kayla Cross, Justin Gilmer and Daniel Cross; his sister Gracie Garrett; and his brother-in-law Lee. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
