With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Slate Mason of Brookneal, Virginia, who passed away on April 25, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Marvin Mason; her sister Marion; and her brother-in-law Marvin Berkley. She is survived by: her children, John C. Mason (Nancy) of Brookneal, Nancy M. Enoch (Al) of Norfolk and Lisa M. Witteman (Mark) of Crozet; her grandchildren, William Denton (Debbie) of Raleigh, N. C., Sheri Guthrie (David) of Brookneal, Matthew Mason (Elizabeth) of Brookneal, Benjamin Mason (Megan) of Brookneal and Dana Elder (Matt) of Brookneal; her great grandchildren, Olivia Denton, Brayden Mason, Ryan Mason, Colin Elder, Liza Jane Elder, Michael Mason and Caitlin Palmer; her brother William Henry Slate (Lurlee) of Naruna; her niece Mary Tucker; her extended family, Bobby, Mandy, Mason Pugh and Nita Pillow; and her caregiver Gloria Ward.
