She was predeceased by : her parents, Edd George Beavers and Rosa Mae Beavers (Wheeler); her husband James Rages McClanahan Sr.; her son James Rages McClanahan II; her sisters, Frances Looney and Naomi Beavers; her nephew Eddie Beavers; and her brother Ed George Beavers Jr. (Karen) of Laurel, MD.

She is survived by : her daughter Caroline May (Rickey) of Hurley, VA; her grandchildren, Abby May of Hurley, VA, Trevor May of Hurley, VA, James Rages McClanahan III of Grundy, VA and Liza Keene (Justin) of Grundy, VA; her great grandchildren, Malaya, Myah, Knightleigh and Maverick; her sister Linda Rife of Danville, VA.; and her nephew Josh Rife (Chaddi) of Danville, VA.
