She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband James Andrew Pettigrew III; her children, Lindsay Pettigrew Zenelis (George) and Dr. Avery Pettigrew; her parents, Shirley Harris and Richard Harris of Kingsport, TN; and her siblings, Ted Harris and Joy Hunter. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to The Washington Sinfonietta for a concert that will be performed in her honor.
