We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2022, at the age of 82, Barbara Jenkins Bowen of Burkeville, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her husband Robert E. Bowen, Sr.; her parents, Robert Jenkins and Sarah Jenkins; and her siblings, Sandra Leigh Jenkins and Robert Wade Jenkins, Jr..
She is survived by : her children, Robert Earl Bowen, Jr. (Janet), Janice Bowen Scruggs (Ronny), Stephen Wade Bowen (Annah) and Francis Todd Bowen; her sisters, Nancy King and Ann King (Louis); her sisters-in-law, Anna Jenkins and Beverley Salmon; her close friend Donald Neathery; and her grandchildren, Pamela Bowen Stepko (Nicholas), Ronald Lee Scruggs, Jr. (Chantel), Justine Scruggs Bowlin (Cheston), Robert Earl Bowen, III (Kirsten), Robert Cody Bowen, Morgan Bowen Thompson (David), Kristen Bowen Garnett (Scott) and Benjamin Tyler Bowen. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
