She was predeceased by: her husband John Calvin Cook; her parents, Leroy Cole Dunnavant and Ethel Sprinkle Dunnavant; her stepfather Rob Moore; and her siblings, Mae Sizemore, Minnie Pridgen, Helen Mathews, Marion Dunnavant and Leroy "Pete" Cole Dunnavant, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Sylvia Schutt (Bobby), Alan Cook (Pam), Dale Cook (Cheryl) and Randy Cook (Laura Lee); her grandchildren, Adam Schutt, Matthew Schutt, Clay Cook, Bristan Campbell of Amy Williams, J. T, Ryan Badger, Cassie Badger, Aaron Cook and Daniel Cook; and her sister Frances Wilmouth. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bagby Memorial (4827 Sandy River Rd, Burkeville, VA 23922). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM at the Bagby Memorial Cemetery (4827 Sandy River Rd, Burkeville, VA 23922).
