She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Henry W. Nelson and Mary Nelson; her husband William E. Ricks; her children, James Ricks of Callao, Matthew Ricks of Haynesville, Lori Headley of Wicomico Church and Catherine Thomas of Tappahannock; her siblings, Frank Nelson, Barry Nelson and Ellen Nelson; her daughter Amy Ricks; and her grandsons, John Ricks and Samuel Ricks. She was also cherished by twenty grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
