He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. Hairston and Estelle Flippen Hairston; his former wife Vinnie Moyer Hairston Pinnix; and his siblings, Robert Melvin Hairston, Mary Ruth Samuel, Hattie Catherline Adams, Mildren Elizabeth Jamison and Clara Jean McKenzie.
He is survived by: his daughter Clarise Olivia Hairston (late Al); his siblings, Anne France (George) of Columbia, MD, Nancy, Doreatha Hall of Cascade, VA, Thelma Pearson of Lanham, MD, Joseph Hairston (Monia) of Cascade, VA and George Hairston (Indira) of Atlanta, GA; his grandsons, Jason A. Ottley (Stacy Galloway), Jonathan E. Ottley (Jennifer), Jordan C. Ottley (Summer) and Joel C. A. Ottley (Kelly); and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Gabrielle, Jasmine, Harper and Nathaniel. He is also survived by his family, especially his mother and father.
