We bid farewell to George Larry McReynolds (Castlewood, Virginia), born in Cleveland, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 7, 2025 at the age of 92. George Larry touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hezekiah Lincoln "Hop" and Edna Agner "BoBo" Campbell McReynolds; and his brother Norman "Dubey" McReynolds (Dorce Earl). He is survived by: his wife Glenna Ball McReynolds; his sons, Casey Dillon McReynolds (Kendra) of Abingdon and Raleigh Logan McReynolds of Mountain View, California; his grandsons, Dillon Patrick McReynolds of Abingdon and Nicholas Casey McReynolds of Abingdon, Virginia; and his sister-in-law Jean Flanary McReynolds of Blountville, Tennessee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 20th 2025 at 10:45 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Forest Hills Memory Gardens (19415 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA 24210).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Highlands Veterans Honor Guard, 16034 Elementary Drive, Abingdon, Virginia 24210.
