He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley and Lillian Olean Bush Blevins; his wife Eva Sue Gann Blevins; and his siblings, Hazel, Glenn, Patty and Tom.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Cornelius (Paul), Brenda Connors (John), Kimberly Dandy (Juan), Tammie Gordon (Jerry) and John H. Blevins, Jr. (Tina); his grandchildren, Joshua Connors (Ola), Teiara Dandy, Aaron Gordon (Madison), Ryan Blevins (Alyssa), Courtney Blevins, Alexis Connors and Autumn Blevins; his great grandchild Riley Jay Blevins; and his brother Ricky Lynn Blevins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Castlewood Funeral Home (80 Donnie Dean Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Temple Hill Memorial Park (2529 Memorial Dr, Castlewood, VA 24224). A masonic service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 6:45 PM at the Castlewood Masonic Lodge #231 (35 Church St, Castlewood, VA 24224).
