It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlie Balford Bales of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, born in Raven, Virginia, who passed away on December 16, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Edward and Levisa Emaline Hurt Bales; and his wife Vivian Doretta "Doe" Bales. He is survived by: his children, Diana Brown (James), Tammy Wagner (Colin) of Blountville, TN and Darrell Bales (Kim) of Pounding Mill, VA; his grandchildren, Joshua Wagner (Amy), Kathryn Netherland (Josh) and McKinley Bales (Sam Addison); and his great grandchildren, Madeline Wagner, Mason Wagner, Max Netherland and Tucker Netherland.
