He is survived by: his parent Daisy Barrett Wheeler; his close friend Barbara Jean Vandyke Wheeler; and his children, Bobbi Leigh Shaw (Lawrence Shaw III) of Fuquay-Varina, Sarah Eilean Thompson, Akil Thompson of Mississauga and Thomas Edward Wheeler, Jr of Cedar Bluff.
