With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gay Tabb Jones of Providence Forge, Virginia, born in Charles City, Virginia, who passed away on April 22, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by : her husband Stuart G. White; her parents, Alvin T. Jones and Ruth Tabb Jones; her sister Shirley Tabb Bailey; and her brothers-in-law, Ojune W. Bailey, Jr. and Jerome Holliman.
She is survived by : her children, Ruth V. White (Gan) and Charles L. White (Man); her sisters, Brenda Jones Cotman (Ronald) and Linda Jones-Wood; her granddaughter Sierra Munoz (Fernando); her great great grandchildren, Kristina and Jason; her niece Ruth Bailey Lane (Hannon); her nephews, William "Pete" Bailey, Christopher L. Jones and Jeremy L. Holliman; her great-nephews, Marc S. Jones and Brandon D. Lane; and her friends, Althea Brown, Blanche Brown, Jessie Crewe, Clemmie Miller and Grace Woodley.
Viewing was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Elam Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
