He is survived by: his children, Leslie Matthews (Rick) of Tampa, FL, Bryan Hamlette (Susan) of Cullen, VA, Laura Hamlette (David Forlines) of Halifax, VA and Barry Hamlette (Rhonda) of Farmville, VA; his grandchildren, Corinne Daly, Kaleigh D'Amato, Blake D'Amato, Jordan Finch and Paul Hamlette; and his siblings, Acie Hamlette (Alma), Catherine Shorter, Peggy Davis, Jimmy Hamlette (Anne) and Jerry Wayne Hamlette (Brenda). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
