He was predeceased by : his parents, Jack Dryer (Rachel Mann) and England; his brother Ben Dryer (Buddy); and his former life partner Anne Gorely. He is survived by : his wife Margaret Dryer; his stepdaughter Diana Knight (Mark); his stepgrandchild Morgan Hayden (Justin); his brother David Dryer; his daughters, Hilary and Madeline; his son-in-law Dave Baker; his grandchildren, Jamie Baker (Emily), Jennie Zaccarelli (Luca), Kees Bruggen, Bernardine Bruggen and Ford Bruggen; and his great grandchildren, Mia, Matteo, Freddie, Harry and Dylan.
