It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgie Mae Morris Shifflett (Charlottesville, Virginia), who passed away on January 24, 2020, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Beverly Morris (Bez) and Sigourney Morris; her husband Melvin Shifflett; her son Melvin T. Shifflett, Sr.; and her grandchildren, Connie Sue Dudley and Daniel Stephens.
She is survived by: her daughters, Evelyn Shifflett (Nathan) of Stanardsville and Margie Burgess of Charlottesville; and her grandchildren, Beverly Lawhorne, Melvin T. Shifflett, Jr. of Charlottesville, Stacy Lynn Dovel, Keith Allen Shifflett (Tina) and Carrie Wilson (Jason). She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
