With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kirby Caknipe Rachel McKinney (Chase City, Virginia), who passed away on May 6, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fay McKinney and Pearl McKinney (Dellinger); her stepson John Caknipe, Jr.; her siblings, Jackie Page, Jimmy, Lucille McKinney, Howard, Audrey Mcinney, David McKinney and Arlene McKinney Wootton (Roy); and her close friend Hugh Lankford.
She is survived by: her husband Garland Stanly Kirby; her siblings, Ann Shelton (David), Betty Caknipe and Billy McKinney (Barbara); and her stepdaughter Ann Caknipe. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
