It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ricky Wayne Guthrie of Chase City, Virginia, born in South Boston, Virginia, who passed away on April 30, 2021, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Marvin Davis Guthrie and Isabelle Robbins Guthrie. He is survived by : his children, Stacie Goodman (Eric) and Ricky Wayne Guthrie Jr.; his brother D. Guthrie Jr. (Peggy); and his aunt Lois Gwaltney. He is also survived by three grandchildren and one great grandchild; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Wylliesburg Baptist Church, 655 Barnesville Hwy, Wylliesburg, VA 23976.
