It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alene Cunningham Lankford of Chesapeake, Virginia, who passed away on August 4, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest M. Lankford, Sr.. She is survived by: her daughter Judy Krol (Dick) of Norfolk, VA; her grandson Richard Krol of Greensboro, NC; her son Ernest M. Lankford, Jr. (Marsha); her granddaughters, Jamie Wallace (James) and Emily Cooper (Jay); her great grandchild Brendan Wallace of Northwest Alabama; and her nephews, Dean Cunningham (Betsy) of Salisbury, NC and Joel Cunningham (Carmel) of St. Augustine, FL.
