He is survived by: his mother Rose Faison Atkins; his wife Cynthia Hill Atkins; his daughter Carrie "Carebear" Biddison (Joey); his siblings, Patricia Cannon (John), Valeria Morrell (Chris), Mark Atkins (Cheryl) and Lester Atkins (Tina); and his pet Joshua. He is also survived by his uncles, aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins.
