She was predeceased by: her husband Vernon P. Mayfield; and her brothers, Russell Harris and Harvey James Harris. She is survived by: her children, Vernon Mayfield, Jr. (Florence) of Chesapeake, Alfred R. Mayfield (Bridgett) of Emporia and Hope M. Sawyer (Gregory) of Portsmouth; and her grandchildren, Vernon L. Mayfield, Gregory B. Mayfield, Timothy L. Mayfield, Nakita McBeth, Shakia Mayfield and Monté McBeth. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, one great greatgrandchild, nieces, nephews and cousins.
