Yates of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Hartford City, Indiana, who passed away on August 30, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Edwards and Mary Edwards (Wolverton); her husband Harry R. Yates; her son David Richard Yates; her sister Ruth Fobiano (Edwards); her brothers-in-law, Frank Yates (Betty), Arnold Yates (Martha) and Charles Yates (Mary Ellen); her nephews, Ronald Yates, Tommy Yates and Robert Yates; and her cousin Luther VanGordon.
She is survived by: her aunt Minnie (Edwards); her uncle William A. Luzadder; her daughter Donna Zoss (Chas); her granddaughter Scarlett Ramic (Dino); her great grandchildren, Henry and Hayes Ramic; her nieces and nephews, Judy Goad (John), Becky Black (Steven), Ruth Ellen Coyle (Vincent), Gene Yates and Stephen Yates; her pet Dolly; and also Chuck Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lottie Moon Fund or to any charitable organization of the donor's choice.
