He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Alterman and Irene Segal; and his brothers, Ira and Alan Alterman. He is survived by: his wife Caroline McAlpine Alterman. He is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home (929 S Battlefield Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23322).
