He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Earl Gardner and Marjorie Creef Gardner; and his brother Samuel Gardner. He is survived by: his cousins, Frankie Sweetwood, Loretta Jenkins, Doris Ann Pierce and Lennon Newberry; and his close friends, Pat Seymour, Beth and Sterling Riggs.
