He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis E. Doren and Ruth B. Doren; his brother Dalton N. "Bud" Doren; and his nieces, Kristin and Kati Lisk.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Showalter Doren; his daughter Ginni Doren Francis (Richard S. Francis); and his brother Joseph M. Doren.
In lieu of flowers, to honor John's life passion for the youth of Great Bridge Baptist, spanning three generations, memorial contributions may be made to the John P. Doren Memorial Fund, for the future benefit of the 2022 Great Bridge Baptist Youth mission trip.
